Gracie's first REAL word (No, I am not kidding cause Gracie's mom is a speech-language pathologist and so she knows it was real), walking and dancing!

Gracie was in the kitchen with me tonight and dad was at the computer. She was hanging on the edge of the cupboard and was saying ma mama ma in her whiny mode (not real) and all of the sudden she switched gears. She turned all the way around so she was facing dad, let go of the cupboard and said dad da dad da dad while she walked all the way to him without falling or hanging onto anything. So she said her first "real" word! And walked, navigating between furniture and wide spaces without hanging on, all within 24 hours. The rest of the night continued that way. So I got the camera out and here is a video (Lydea wanted a video of her walking. If you guys lived closer you could teach her her some of your crazy dance moves we saw over Christmas. Then again she could teach you some. Watch the video and see.) There is not as much talking as before, but definitely some good walking, turning, and yep... DANCING! Gracie loves music and dancing. No matter what she is doing, if she hears music she stops what she is doing, listens, and starts bopping her head or bouncing up and down or believe it or not, shaking her bum. It is the cutest thing. I have to film her doing it on the stairs cause it is so cute with her sticking her bum out and shaking her bon bon. She even has certain dances for different beats that I do cause I am a professional beat boxer like that. Blake Lewis eat your heart out. Grace is a crazy, sweet girl! Question: How soon do you put babies in dance lessons?

So the movie is 6 minutes long and I guess Blogger can't handle that! Phooie... so we just downloaded movie maker so I can cut it in clips and repost it. Here I think I can just do a quick post and I let the movie uploader run all night, (I thought Luke stopped it) and so then I let it run all day today. Bummer. Stay tuned.
