At that exact moment I was pulling Gracie's swimsuit up over her leg rolls and diaper. I was taken back and I thought, "We always get comments on her chubby leg rolls but never have they been so boldy attributed to me. Thanks Kara!" But then I looked up and saw that Gracie was holding onto one of the rolls that I had given to Kara. I couldn't help laughing at what just happened. It was so funny. Kara was just trying to point out that they had brought my rolls to eat and I thought she was talking about leg rolls. Sorry to say Gracie, you probably did get your Mamma's rolls!

Your Mamma's Rolls...

A whole cantelope!
Last night after eating a bowl of homemade chili- Dad left for a scout meeting (he is the new Cub Scout Master), and Gracie and I went out side because it was down in the 90's. We sat out on the driveway in font of our garage and waved at all the people and cars driving by and between the two of us, we ate a whole cantelope. It was the most delicious one I have ever tasted. It was like someone had added some vanilla or other tropical juice/cream to it and we couldn't stop. Gracie really ate her half or more than half. And her belly was sticking out way past her diaper. Can you guess what surprise will be left for me in the morning? It was so good though!!

The Crazy Contraceptive Cupboard Catastrophe
The other day I was just doing my hair and brushing my teeth as usual and I looked down to see Gracie holding a box of contraceptive capsule thingys- the kind that dissolve and turn into spermacide. GREAT! I bent down to take the box away from her and there was white stuff puddled on the floor. OH GREAT!@%$#%! I thought for sure she was sucking on a capsule and so I snatched her up so quickly and ran my finger around inside her mouth but NOTHING was there! She had some white on the corners of her mouth and so I looked down on the floor again and this time there was even more white stuff but it looked a little foamier. I thought for sure that she had to have swallowed it. But then I checked the first white puddle on the floor and it smelled exactly like spit up. And then I cleaned the other foamy puddle up with toilet paper and it smelled like toothpaste. I breathed a sigh of relief and the puzzle all clicked together. Gracie was playing with the box when she spit up a little, and then when I saw her and grabbed her up in a hurry, some of the toothpaste foam dropped out of my mouth on the floor but I didn't remember that part cause I was so worried about Gracie. Thank Goodness there was no need for stomach pumping and who knows what else. I guess I better move things out of Gracie's reach!
Harry Potter
A little late because we didn't go on Opening Night, but we still wanted to do the Lightning Bolts. Any harm in that?
Thanks Cassidy and Rich for a fun spontaneous night. Sorry Gracie was a pill. Lucky James will sleep anywhere.
Kind of disappointed in this movie but still fun to go! What did you think?
Ode to the Salad Spinner
BTW: I was still writing my LONG poem after like 20 minutes and I don't think it even compares to Luke's short and sweet one. Here they are:
Ode to the Salad Spinner
by Luke Barber per Hollie's crazy request
(She had just finished doing a short demo on the wonders of a salad spinner at a Church recipe Night! She is not usually a fan of kitchen gadgets that do just one thing, but the Salad Spinner is one exception. She just keeps it in the fridge all the time so it is a great container to always have crisp lettuce on hand.)
Ah the luxury of a salad spinner,
while in the kitchen I feel like a winner.
Makes it easy to decide what's for dinner,
and by eating it's contents I stay thinner.
The green leafy goodness contained inside,
takes me on a glorious vegetable ride.
It tastes so good you'd think I had died,
and how ironic that none of it's fried.
It looks so aestethic wiht dressing on top.
It I start eating I'm afraid I won't stop.
Ode to the Salad Spinner by Hollie
On behalf o f my lettuce I thank you.
Yes thankyou for just your very existence!
My lettuce used to complain and grumble,
over the long process he really did stumble.
Mr. Romaine loved being out of the bag,
but then getting wet really did lag.
Then he'd lay out on the towel and wait,
it seemed with Miss Mouth, he'd never get a date.
Then he'd be beaten and patted dry,
till at last he could see with his leafy green eye,
the bowl that very soon would be
his final meal presentation for his owner, me.
He would quickly get ripped into little bits.
This process mad him really feel like the pits.
And finally after the long arduous process,
he would sit for prayer and a recess.
And at last victory would be his and mine
as he was enjoyed while my family did dine.
So Salad Spinner not to get off track,
you can see it was a long process in fact.
YOu saved me and Romaine so much time.
You're well worth every penny and dime.
I'll spread the news as much as I can,
that of your spinning skills, I'm really a fan.

Hopefully I can do the rest of the brain dump tomorrow!
You seriously don't have to read it all. Pick one that sounds interesting to you. There are lots of posts that I have just let pile up. Sorry, I couldn't spread them out. I just needed to get them done cause more keep happening. I think the first new one is the DMV one followed by the Blue Man Group on the previous page of older posts. I guess that is what I get for waiting.
