Papa and Grammy we love you!

Thanks for being so good to my girl! We can't wait for many more good times as Gracie grows up and with more kids... Better keep hanging on for that! We love you.

My friend Mandy's Wedding June 13th!

I am so glad you decided to get married. Dan, ever since the day you walked into our house with purple hair and we went go-carting I knew it, hoped it would end good with you. And it did. You guys are married happily ever eternally! I loved being a special part of your wedding day thank you for the good day, having me be a bridesmaid, and for all the good memories. You are a best friend! I love you!
Can't go wrong with an ice cream topping bar on brownies. I knew I liked you for a reason!Lisa, I thought this picture was so cute! It was cool they ended up having matching dresses. It was fun to put the bridal shower on with you too.
BFF from Sky View High School. Good times! I planned an outdoorsy themed bridal shower for Mandy. It was supposed to be in a park but we got rained out. Too bad. The smores were still fun to cook though! I am glad we didn't set the fire alarm off. You need to work on your roasting skills Mandy!Woo Woo!
I like this pic of us Mandy. Don't get married. Oh but do. Marriage is the best thing that ever happened to me. I missed Luke this whole week. He had to stay behind and work. Darn it! It was wierd being in the temple without him. But fun to remember the day we got sealed for eternity too and the promises we made and council we received. Getting sealed in the temple is definitely worth waiting for the right person to come along for and also keeping your standards high for as well. The temple is the greatest place on earth, maybe except for my bed with Luke and Gracie in it!

Robert's blessing of their newest baby Travis!

Some of our family could be there. Left to right starting in the front: Tyler & April (Lisa's kids), Kaleb, Travis, Tyson (Robert's kids), Robert & Heidi (my little brother and wife), Me, Tino, Luke holding Gracie, Bri holding Quickyn with her husband, my brother Bill, my little brother Michael, Older sister Lisa missing husband Ben, older brother Kevin, and my Dad missing my mom. We were missing my older brother Karl and his wife Megan and 6 kids and my little sister Nancy and her new husband BJ and my little sister Angelica. Yes there are 10 kids and 2 parents and 13 grandkids when and if we all get together. Sometime soon maybe? I love you! Congrats on Trevor!

This picture is with Heidi's parents (Robert's inlaws) who made the best yummy rolls with Heidi. Thanks for the recipe.

Blue Man Group a while back!

This was the first date without Gracie. Luke wanted to go to Blue Man Group really bad. We got a 2 for 1 for teacher appreciation week back in May. It was a lot of fun. The only bad thing was Luke had pretty much watched the exact same whole show on Youtube videos so nothing was a surprise. We sat in the "Poncho Section" where they give you ponchos to wear so your clothes won't be ruined by the paint and regurgitated twinkie that they spray the audience with. We were sorely dissappointed because we didn't get any paint on us. I did get a couple globs of twinkie in my hair which was really gross. It was pretty fun though I am glad we didn't pay full price. The music was pretty cool and we like learning "attending a concert moves." I liked going in the Venetian. We had a yummy pretzel but did forgo the 12.00 loaded caramel apples. Crazy price but they looked good.
It's pretty cool that you can take pics with them afterwards.
Luke asked one blue man to kiss me on the cheek. I didn't want to but he wanted it so I said okay.

Shakin' in my britches at Court!

Going to court for my traffic tickets (one for not changing my license over in 30 days, and FIRST one EVER for speeding) was well worth it because it took my total from $380 to $107 plus I went to traffic school for $30 so it would be reduced to a parking ticket and not go on my record. But I must say, I was scared through the whole process and it went on way too long. The first time I appeared on my assigned date, I thought I was going in front of a judge but no! I was just pleading before a lady at a window. Depending on what I plead, would mean if I went to the judge or not. Well pleading not guilty and choosing to go to court was a gamble because if I lost I would have to pay my whole ticket plus court fees of around $100. But my case to me was so simple because we still own our home in Florida and the lady said that if I would have just answered the cop's question correctly the first time, then I wouldn't have got a ticket. What can I say when he says, "Where do you live?" I guess I should have told him I have my home in FL. Oh well. It would prevented all of this drama for 3 months and lots of back and neck ache and nervousness. When I finally went to court, I was so nervous about what I was going to say. In the end I was there for only about twenty minutes and I only said one word-- "GUILTY." I was dressed all sweet and innocent and ready to plead my case but then the attorney saw that I changed my license over and they dismissed that charge and then they said that my ticket and court fees would be $107 with an option to go to traffic school to reduce it to a parking ticket. Then they said "How do you plead?" I almost screamed guilty with shock because they saved me so much money. I was ecstatic. But then I did end up going to traffic school from 5:00 to 11:00 pm. It was not a fun night. The instructor was horrible and extremely rude adn demeaning to everyone except the military guys. He made fun of me and my "questions" in front of everyone even though his examples were very stupid and unrealistic. He basically just made fun of everyone, told us all how we are saying our English words wrong because we don't have a spanish accent adn we live in Las Vegas, adn read the test word for word and gave us the answer for 6 hours. And I got hit on by an older guy and missed my baby and husband. And I couldn't work on my church stuff like I was planning. He got mad at me. It was horrible. I never want to do it again.

Book idea: Tales of the DMV

I am so glad I don't have to go there again for a long time. And I am so glad to have a car now. I have loved my car so much and hated the DMV so much that I haven't written about. Let's just say that after too many trips back and forth to the DMV on my bike with Gracie in the bike trailer, that I have been inspired to write a book that will be a collection of people's stories of the DMV. Every time I went there, there was always something/someone to laugh about. There is always drama too including with me. It seemed that each time I went I would never be completely done. I would leave after waiting for hours for my number to be called only to return again. From failing the written driver's test because I was cocky and didn't think I need to study because I have been driving for 8 years (who knew it was going to be all about specific numbers and feet for driving and driving penalty system-dumb if you ask me), to taking a sweaty driver's license picture (sweaty from riding my back and hurrying to be back in 15 minutes to pick up Gracie from the babysitter's), to trying to charm the DMV employee whose personality was so dry he would crack if walked outside, to watching all the funny people get upset. It was topped off by the cutest experience of Gracie being confused by the huge glass wall. She loves the red rocks here in Vegas and so sat down right at the edge of the glass reached for the rocks but her head and hand kept hitting the glass. Then a man on the outside saw her and was laughing. So he picked up a rock and held it right next to the glass for Gracie. Gracie was so confused as to why she couldn't grab the rock. It was so cute and still makes me smile today.
So how about it? Anyone have a DMV story to contribute to my book? Anyone interested in reading the book when it is complete?

Time for a brain dump...

Do you ever have those times when your brain gets so over loaded with things that you have been thinking about for way too long? You can't go to sleep at night because of it and you can't get new things in because there is no space. Well that is currently my case. So I am going to perform my first ever brain dump- de-tatch the sticky notes that are clogging the pink wrinkles of my cerebellum and organize them as short as possible in chronological order. Then I will judge the consequences to see if brain dumps are indeed effective. Here goes Brain dump #1:
